The word ‘arthritis’ means ‘inflammation of joints.’ It comes from two Greek words, ‘athron’ meaning joints and ‘itis’ meaning inflammation. It is a chronic disease. In the early stages, the whole body is usually involved and one or two joints may become completely deformed, leaving the patient handicapped and somewhat weakened. It is mostly seen in the elderly. Inflammation is the main feature of arthritis, which is a reaction of the joint tissues to some form of damage or injury and it highly affects joints and bones.

* Gout : Gout or metabolic arthritis and is caused by an excess of uric acid that accumulates in the system forming crystals that are caught in the spaces between the joints and cause inflammation and irritation. An excruciating pain is created in thumb, knee or elbow and most commonly the big toe.

Causes of Arthritis

* Joint Instability : Severe or recurrent joint injury from heavy physical activity, excess overweight-excessive body weight, exercise activities such as long-distance running, basketball, etc. performed over many years will result in the development of arthritis.
* Hormonal Factors : Higher proportion of women suffers from this disease as compare to men due to the hormonal changes that take place during the menopause.

How To Master Your Body Language And Seduce Men Easier

Last Updated: 2011/10/07

While all of us practice a certain form of body language unwillingly and unconsciously, there is quite a big step from regular to expert body language. You can never hear enough body language tips because, for any woman, pose, gestures and posture are essential in the dating game and in life, in general. The subtleties of body language can help you attract the right guy to a higher extent than any form of talking.

Eye contact

The human body has a central point for focusing actions and intentions – the eyes. In modern society, eye contact is of utmost importance, so many body language tips focus on getting this right. Sidelong glances are a great start for eye contact. A direct look can follow. At this point, the guy you are looking at will probably look back.

Instantly lower your eyes and put on an embarrassed smile – you were looking at him and he caught you doing it. You can take this body language / eye contact tip even further and after a few moments look at him again and this time hold your eyes on him for a few seconds. You can also use eye contact to avoid a guy you don’t like simply look at the opposite direction when he attempts to make eye contact.

First impression

Never overlook this important body language top tip your first impression is essential if you want to attract positive attraction. Whenever you are out and ready to meet a guy, make sure to look your best. If you are not happy with what you see in the mirror before you exit your house, don’t even go out! Your pose, your posture, your dress, the way your hair looks they should all be at the maximum level.

This first impression body language tip also refers to the level of confidence you express through the way you walk, the way you look and talk to people and the way you dominate the room you are in.

Body language tips regarding your hands

The way you hold and move your hands is also a good way to express your intentions. Here are a few interesting body language tips regarding the use of your hands and hand positions in a social encounter:

- Unclenched hands show openness.

- Playing with your hair or caressing the chair or other objects is a definite sign of interest, an almost sensual act.

- Try picking some fluff of his jacket (even if there is none!)

- Accidentally touch his hands when reaching for something.

- Briefly touch him during conversation to make a point or to laugh at a funny remark. This is a very direct and powerful body language gesture

Posture body language tips

The importance of body posture is essential when dating. You can show interest by facing the guy directly and by slightly leaning forward every now and then. Another great tip that outlines the importance of posture concerns the way you keep your back and shoulders.

A straight back with shoulders slightly brought backwards will expose your chest and is a definite sign of interest. Among other interesting posture and body language tips you might also consider crossing and uncrossing your legs during conversation. Movement of the human body as a form of expression

Since the bodylanguage tips mentioned above refer mainly to pose and posture, you should also consider other subtle body language activities. Facial expressions are among the most suggestive unspoken signals you can give to a guy – although we will detail these in a separate article. Your clothing and general visual appearance are also part of your body language mechanism, so pay special attention to them as well.

The human body can emit dozens of signals unconsciously, but if you learn to master your own body language signals and understand the signals transmitted by guys, you will soon be queen of the dating game.

Acupuncture – Knee Surgery

Last Updated: 2011/10/07

Acupuncture is often the sole treatment for many health problems. In some cases, such as acupuncture and knee surgery, it can be a supplemental help to the primary treatment.

Acupuncture – Knee Surgery

In order to prevent the spread of more confusion and conflict on the subject of acupuncture and alternative medicine in general, it should be noted that the title of this article is a bit misleading. Acupuncture is not actually used to perform surgery on the knee. Invasive surgical procedures are the trademark of Western Style Medicine. Acupuncture has several uses in the pre-operative and post-operative periods of a major invasive knee surgery.

Pain control is one recognized area where acupuncture shows excellent results. Much of the literature of acupuncture deals with pain. Pain is considered to be caused by a blockage in the normal flow of vital energy through a series of channels known as Meridians that crisscross the body. If the blockages are removed, the pain should cease. Since knee surgery often results in much pain and discomfort in the period immediately after the surgery and in the pre-ambulatory period, acupuncture treatments after knee surgery should be valuable.

There have also been tests done on the relationship of acupuncture treatments given before knee surgery and the pain levels in the post-op period. The results were surprising to the surgeons conducting the tests. A control group was given acupuncture treatments that targeted points that would have no possible relationship to pain relief or the knee. Some of the points were not even actual acupuncture points. The test group received needling in three points directly related to the knee and pain relief.

In the pre-ambulatory recovery period, there was a marked decrease in the amount of pain relief sought by the test group when compared to the control group. The test group also tended to spend less time in recovery and became ambulatory at a significantly faster rate. Acupuncture-knee surgery might be more of a match than it first appears. Another clinical study showed that acupuncture treatments geared toward creating calming and anxiety relief in the pre-operative period tended to produce less painful post-op periods and quicker healing. Also, the original purpose was achieved as the patients were calmer and more optimistic prior to surgery.

Acupuncture-knee surgery may not seem like a likely mix, but acupuncture is capable of restoring balance to the entire body and of promoting healing of trauma. This principle is going to hold true regardless of if the trauma is caused by an accident injury to the knee, or if it is caused by the invasive knife of a Surgeon.

Managing the symptoms of a sore throat

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

During the lifetime everyone has suffered at least once from sore throat and knows how unpleasant this affection is. Sore throat refers to an inflammation of the pharynx and sometimes of the tonsils and this way it was named as pharyngitis or tonsillitis.

A normal sore throat gives the symptoms of a common cold or flu and lasts for about 3 days. If the patient coughs it will make the disease last longer as it causes another irritation on the throat.

If the symptoms of the sore throat last longer than 3 days the patient is advised to go to a doctor to see exactly if a laryngitis is not present. Sore throat can be also encountered in measles, glandular fever, mumps, chicken pox and whooping cough. These affections are caused by a virus and are highly contagious.

A sore throat can be caused by a virus or by a bacterium. This means that the antibiotic treatment is effective and will be prescribed only for the cases caused by bacteria as viruses are known to be immune to antibiotic drugs. In the first days of sore throat the patient is infectious to others as he can spread the germs by saliva, by kissing, sneezing or coughing. The symptoms of a sore throat are: fever, coughing, headaches, painful red throat, and swollen lymph glands.

Many sore throats are caused by viruses like those responsible for common cold or flu. They are more frequent during winter as we stay indoors, closer to other people. After such a sore throat the immune system is weakened and a bacterial sore throat can easily install. There is no treatment for viral sore throats but symptoms can be managed with cough syrup or over the counter pain relievers. After a few days of rest the organism will defeat the virus infection and the patient will get better.

If the patient has a bacterial sore throat antibiotic drugs will be recommended as they are the only ones who can fight properly the bacterium. The most frequent bacterium responsible for the sore throat is streptococcus group A. In most of the cases cause by streptococcus fever is encountered and cough or other cold symptoms are missing. In some cases the bacterial infection can lead to tonsillitis or towards an ear infection.

The infection of the tonsils is recognized after its unique symptoms: red, swollen tonsils, quite frequent with pus on their surface, high fever and weakness.

Besides viral and bacterial infection, there are some other factors which can cause a sore throat: smoking, pollution, allergies, shouting and coughing, and changes in the local temperature (going out from warm to very cold).

In order to diagnose the sore throat the doctor will first perform a physical examination of the throat and then will swab the back of the throat and sent that sample to the laboratory to see what kid of infection is there: a bacterial or a viral infection.

If the patient has a sore throat which is caused by a viral infection then the doctor will prescribe a pain reliever and will recommend the patient to drink warm liquids like tea or soup and to rest for a few days.

If the patient has a sore throat caused by a bacterium then the doctor will prescribe antibiotic drugs along with pain relievers for the throat.

In order for the patient to cure fast smoking has to be avoided along with alcohol and warm liquids have to be drunk.

Modern ways to fight leukemia

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

It is a well know fact that we live in the age of technology. It seems that with the help of it scientist and doctors have come up with one of the most ingenuous ways of fighting the disease. A team of people lead by Mary Laughlin has shown the world that by using an umbilical cord transplant of blood, immediately after the patient has gone through quite severe doses of chemo therapy or radiation, about one third of the people showed a remarkable recovery. This would have never been possible in other cases, with other treatments.

This was an actual alternative to the bone marrow transplant. Because of cases of mismatches between patient and possible donors, doctors thought of the idea of using cord blood for transfer which is very rich in stem cells. The success was immediate. The thins is that this is the a great alternative for patients with leukemia because the blood that is used for the transplant does not have to be an exact match to be effective ( as in the cases of the bone marrow transplant).

The actual way that this blood is collected is actually very simple and risk free for everybody. The blood is retrieved from the fresh placenta of a mother that has just given birth to a child. This way the blood is saved after this being frozen and stored for safe keeping. The stem cells that can be found in the umbilical cord are actually immature blood cells that have yet to grow in either a red blood cell a white cell or a platelet. This stem cells can be used after a case of chemo or radiation therapy. They are inserted in to the bone marrow of the patient so that the normal functions of producing normal healthy blood cells can begin again at full potential.

The fact is that the treatment was used intensively on children, because of the fact that they are not yet matured and that production of certain cells in their bodies is much more easy to do then in grown ups. For them creating a whole new immune system was actually quite easy. In the cases of older people usage of the treatment was not yet done because certainty of a good result did not exist. But, still, after trying it on grown ups too results have been found to be very impressive. By only using a small quantity like 2 ounces of cord blood, the sick body can regenerate its immune system. The best thing about it was the fact that the blood didn’t necessarily have to be a perfect match with the one of the donor.

A lot of work is still being done in this field and results are beginning to be more and more interesting.

Multiple sclerosis types

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

Multiple sclerosis is not a very spread condition, but it can do a lot of damage. Multiple sclerosis affects the nerves of your central nerve system, causing many problems. Depending on the symptoms that you have, multiple sclerosis can be of three types. The type of multiple sclerosis that one can suffer from are: relapsing- remitting, secondary progressive and primary progressive multiple sclerosis.

The first type of multiple sclerosis is relapsing remitting. In almost seventy percent of all multiple sclerosis patients, this condition starts with relapsing and remitting. What this actually means is that in this case of multiple sclerosis, there are periods of relapse that can come quite sudden and periods of remission. In the relapse period of multiple sclerosis, the symptoms will flare up, sometimes out of the blue. This period will be followed by a remission one, in which the multiple sclerosis symptoms have the tendency to improve. The secondary progressive multiple sclerosis type can appear after you have had the fist type of multiple sclerosis for a longer period of time. In this second multiple sclerosis case, the remission periods will start to shorten and the symptoms of multiple sclerosis to agravate. More than half of the multiple sclerosis patients that have suffered from the first type of multiple sclerosis will develop the second progressive type in almost ten years. The third multiple
sclerosis type is primary progressive. This is the worst case of multiple sclerosis that one can suffer from. Almost three out of twenty people suffering from multiple sclerosis have no period of remission and their multiple sclerosis symptoms get worse by the days. In this particular multiple sclerosis case, the live expectancy period is reduced.

Multiple sclerosis is a very unpredictable disease. There can be as many as ten years between flare-ups of multiple sclerosis. Others may have these multiple sclerosis flare- ups more frequent. If men develop multiple sclerosis in their middle age and it is also the first time that they have multiple sclerosis, the progress of the disease can be very rapid and can cause a lot of damage. To diagnose multiple sclerosis is not a very easy thing. Doctors must do some tests, see what the symptoms are and rule out other medical conditions before diagnosing you with multiple sclerosis. An MRI, a spinal tap or neuropsychological tests are some of the procedures that a doctor has to do to confirm the multiple sclerosis diagnose.

Ringworm and the ways of treatment

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

Tinea corporis is a fugal infection caused by microorganisms called dermatophytes. Popular known as ringworm, tinea corporis refers to a fungal infection of the body or face. It was noticed that tinea corporis does not affect the beard area on men. This is a common infection believed to affect equally both men and women of any age. Most of the cases are seen in warm, tropical environments.

It is believed that ringworm is a superficial fungus infection. As it was written before ringworm is caused by dermatophytes which are a group of fungi who live in dead tissues of the skin. Trichophyton rubrum, microsporum canis and trichophyton mentagrophytes are the most common fungi responsible for ringworm.

Ringworm appears as a flat, scaly spot that looks like a pimple. The infection increases and a round and enlarged patch can be seen. Usually after its enlargement the center of the flat and round patch clears. The infection looks like a ring therefore the name. Though, this infection has nothing to do with no worms. In some infections such as those treated with a steroid like hydrocortisone the advancing borders or even the center of the infection can have vesicles or pustules.

Because the symptoms or the appearance of ringworm are similar to other skin conditions such as granuloma annulare, nummular eczema or tinea versicolor a KOH test is recommended. In most of the cases the diagnosis is set based on the appearance of the rash. More complex cases require this test that consists of an exam of the fungal cultures.

There are two possible ways of treating ringworm. Topical and oral treatments are the available solutions. As we know topical treatment has a benefic effect over this type of infections. Topical treatment consists of antifungal medicines that are applied on the infected areas. This treatment should last at least 3 weeks for the infection to disappear totally. It is recommended to use antifungal medicines twice a day. Even if the infection disappears after two weeks another week of treatment is necessary in order to completely eradicate the fungus. The most common lotions used in treating ringworm are miconazole, clotrimazole, ketoconazole and terbinafine.

Oral treatment of ringworm is recommended only if the lesion is spread over a large area. Oral treatment has to be taken once a day for 7 days in order to have the awaited result. In these cases oral antifungal medicines such as terbinafine and itraconazole are recommended.

How To Choose Videoconference Carts

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

Are you tired of looking for good quality videoconference carts? What are they, you ask? There is really no need to explain video conferencing carts – they are furniture built to hold video conferencing equipment. Video conferencing carts come in a variety of designs to suit different purposes.

Surprisingly, there is nothing special about their construction. At times, they even look like ordinary shelves or cabinets with wheels.

Video Conferencing Carts – Go By Function

Choose a video conferencing cart that’s suitable for your needs. Video conferencing cabinets are a common and cheap alternative. They are similar to TV cabinets. The glass doors help keep your video conferencing equipment free from dust. The small size also makes it extremely portable, good when you have to drag it across rooms.

If you need to show video to a larger audience, only a tall video conference cart will do. These tall video conferencing carts are usually similar to video conferencing cabinets, except that the vertical support bars can be adjusted very high.

If you need a sturdier piece of equipment, choose a video conferencing cart with an all-steel construction. Video security cabinets with monitor enclosures can be a great investment, too. These large carts are often bulky and made of high-grade materials that will last for a very long time. If you need a versatile cart, you can choose a multi-purpose cart that can serve as a monitor and projector stand.

When making the purchase, be sure to inspect the item thoroughly. Check the wheels to make sure that they glide smoothly. Make sure that the frame is durable and the vinyl or paint covering is made well. Finally, ensure that the height is appropriate. A short one will not do and it is preferable to choose the tallest model available.

When the subject of conferencing is confusing so many, Jon Butt’s site at http://www.conferencing-explained.com does exactly what it says on the tin. Explaining the facts and fiction about web, video, audio and teleconferencing, how this latest technology can save you money, the equipment you need or don’t need, the best call plans and where to find the best prices and value online.

Some facts concerning the treatment of dermatitis

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

There exist a few types of dermatitis, and the treatment varies, depending on the cause.
In contact dermatitis is important to determine what caused the irritation, and to avoid that factor. Helping in relieving redness and itching can be creams containing hydrocortisone or wet dressings that provide moisture to the skin.
Neurodermatitis treatment has as purposes to stop scratching and to avoid further aggravating your skin. You will have to wear a dressing that’s difficult to remove and leave it on for a week or longer. You can use sedatives and tranquilizers to help you stop scratching (but only the doctor will determine which drugs you can use); wet compresses can provide relief, and hydrocortisone lotions and creams may help soothe your skin.
Frequently shampoo use is needed in seborrheic dermatitis, and then you will have to carefully rinse your scalp. Tar, zinc pyrithione, salicylic acid or ketoconazole is the active ingredient of the commonly used shampoos.
In atopic dermatitis, applying hydrocortisone- containing lotions is needed to ease signs and symptoms. Wet dressings with mildly astringent properties may be prescribed if the skin cracks open. These wet dressings will contract your skin, reduce secretions and prevent infection. To help maintain normal skin texture and reduce flares of atopic dermatitis there can be used tacrolimus and pimecrolimus, which belong to a class of medications called immunomodulators. However, these drugs should be used only when other treatment fails.
In statis dermatitis, there accumulates fluid in the legs or ankles for extended periods, and the treatment consists in correcting this. Wearing elastic support hose or even having varicose vein surgery may be needed.
Also, to soften the thickened, yet fragile, skin and to control infection, there can be used wet dressings.
Perioral dermatitis has a treatment which consists in the oral antibiotic tetracycline. In the initial phase, in order to reduce signs and symptoms of perioral dermatitis, there can be prescribed a very mild corticosteroid cream.

To prevent contact dermatitis it is necessary to avoid coming into contact with substances like poison ivy or harsh soaps.
To prevent future bouts of dermatitis it is important to avoid dry skin. Try to have a bath less frequently, use mild soaps, brush your skin rapidly with the palms of your hands or gently pat your skin dry with a towel after bathing. It is also important to moisturize your skin.

Multiple sclerosis is a diagnosis you simple do not want to get. Acupuncture for Multiple Sclerosis can help to make a person more comfortable and in control.

Acupuncture for Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis is a horrible disease of the central nervous system. It attacks a substance called myelin which sheaths the nerves. There is interference with messages and signals between the brain and the body. This results in a wide variety of symptoms depending on the nerves effected. Often the symptoms become such that the patient becomes confined to a wheel chair due to loss of balance and motor control. Loss of bladder and bowel control contributes to the emotional sense of helplessness and depression in the patients. There is no cure for Multiple Sclerosis at this time, nor is there any absolute certainty as to its cause.

Interestingly, Multiple Sclerosis was virtually unknown in China until 30 years ago. Around that time, cases began to appear in some of the larger cities. Early studies attributed the cause of the disease to the stress of modern living and the pollution common in larger cities. A careful review of available clinical studies and papers concerning Traditional Chinese Medicine’s view of the causation, prognosis, and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis, reveals that there is still some disagreement. It is clear, however, Chinese Medicine offers no claims of being able to cure the disease.

The use of acupuncture in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis is geared toward two goals. The first is to bring as much relief of the symptoms as possible. The second goal is to enable the patient to be able to manage the disease in a way that allows them to fully experience the joy and splendor of human existence. There are many indications that these goals have a good chance of success through a combined approach of acupuncture, diet restriction, and mild exercise.

Acupuncture treatments for Multiple Sclerosis have had much success in reducing pain and decreasing spasticity. Another area of success is improved bladder and bowel control. The reduction of stress and the improved feeling of well being contribute to an improvement in quality of life. The acupuncture treatments must be given frequently in order to maintain the improvements of symptoms, but Multiple Sclerosis is known for its cycles of remission. During periods of remission, the frequency of the acupuncture treatments can be reduced.

The reaction of Western medical practitioners to the use of acupuncture in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis is mixed. Some recognize that acupuncture tends to release endorphins and peptides that modulate the transmission of sensory information through the central nervous system. The clinical results of many patients have shown control of symptoms and stress reduction and a positive outlook are seen as important to the overall treatment. Many doctors have admitted that, at the very least, acupuncture does reduce stress and improve the sense of well being. A very few in the Western medical field stubbornly refuse to admit that acupuncture can be helpful and cite dangers from infection and the transmission of HIV through the use of needles. These concerns are extremely minimal in acupuncture when a qualified and certified acupuncturist is involved.

Yeah, $1683.04. One article. Here’s how:

You can’t just sit down and write an article that makes money. Most articles don’t ever make it past the directories they’re submitted to. Why? They don’t get reprinted because they are horribly written, or they’re advertorials, or flat-out spam. But there are a few – a select few – that make it to the big leagues. And those make money. Lets start by talking about how to write a good article.

How You SHOULD Start

Don’t just start writing. Start by thinking about your audience. Think about their wants, not their needs – people are much more likely to make a decision based on their wants, and put off their needs. Focus on their feelings, and accelerate them. Take advantage of them. How? Be your audience, take some time to step into their shoes, and feel what they feel. Now, what would you respond to? Take that, and run with it.

Put Your Plan Together And Write Your Outline

Still don’t start writing your article. Start by writing down those wants and feelings you thought about, in outline form. Go ahead and write them on paper, in Notepad, in Word, wherever you want to. Feel free to add to your list if you think of other good ideas.

Now Start Writing

Take your outline and turn it into paragraphs. Make sure you write in a conversational style – your readers hate to be lectured as much as you do – but make sure that you use proper grammar as much as possible. When you’re done writing, save your article and get away from it for a while.

Proofread, Proofread, And Proofread Again

I can’t stress this part enough. You MUST proofread your articles at least 2-3 times. And while you’re reading, try to think like the reader again. This will help you use the language that will be the most effective, and it will help ensure that your writing style isn’t confusing. If you’re not good at proofreading, or grammar in general, find someone who is, and have them do it for you. A poorly written article probably won’t make you a cent.

Now, Where Do You Submit It?

Easy – everywhere. You want to submit your article to as many places/people as possible. Find every article directory available and submit your article to them. Yes, this takes time, but it’s worth it. Why? Because you never know where a publisher will find your article. Submitting by hand can get very tedious and time consuming, though, so make sure you allot time to do it.

Or, if you’re willing to trade a little bit of money for your time, consider using a submission service. I personally use http://www.Article-Marketer.com, because they submit to roughly 30,000 publishers, sites and directories. I’m not even going to try to figure out how much time that would take me to do by hand, but I know the small price tag I pay to have my articles submitted is well worth it.

And How Will This Make Me Money?

I’m getting to that… Hold your pants on. Now that you know how to write and submit a great article, you can move on to how to profit from them. There are a few things to consider here –

1) Topic – You can’t write an article about how to make great spit wads and expect to make any money from it. Why? Well, not many people really care enough about how to make great spit wads to spend money on them.
2) Reason – You have to have a reason for the article. You can’t just write an overview of a program and expect it to be published, let alone sell anything for you. Your readers have to see a value in reading further, or they’ll leave. This means you have to give them great content, preferably something they haven’t heard before.
3) Trust – If your readers are going to do ANYTHING for you, you have to give them something first. You can’t write an article and only include stuff that’s common knowledge. Give them value, and they’ll repay you for it.
4) Means – Once you’ve picked a great topic, given your readers a reason to read it, and established trust by telling them things they didn’t know before, they’ll be primed to make you a profit, so give them a way to do it.

Now It’s Time For The Juicy Stuff

The article that made me $1700 had all of those things, and my means of profit was through a very subtle affiliate link in the middle of the article. I didn’t hype it up, I didn’t point it out, I simply mentioned it once and went on with the article. Looking back, I probably could have mentioned it subtly again at the end of the article and made more sales, but hindsight is always 20/20.

I do need to say that most article directories and publishers won’t reprint an article with an obvious affiliate link in it, so you have to disguise it. I purchased a domain name and had it forwarded to my affiliate hoplink (it is a Clickbank product), and when you type in my domain, it redirects so quickly, you can’t even tell there is a redirect. Check it out it’s http://www.GetSEOElite.com – sly, eh? It just looks like I’m referring the reader to a great product, as opposed to including the link because I’m trying to make money.

Don’t Forget The Good Ol’ Resource Box

Affiliate links aren’t the only way to profit, you can also include a link in your resource box (aka About the Author area) back to your site, and direct people to where they can get more information about the article topic. You can direct them to another affiliate site, a name squeeze page, or just about anywhere you want. This is a great way to get a number of backlinks for your site, as well.

Jackpot!

SiteProNews.com picked up my article about 15 days after I had it submitted, and they sent it to their subscriber list of 500,000 people. I’m not sure how many people read it or how many followed the affiliate link, but do I know that in 2 days I racked up about 20 sales of SEO Elite and the link in my resource box almost tripled my traffic, as well.

Want To Write Your Own Article Now?

I feel like I should say something about how my results are probably not typical, and not everyone will be able to make $1700 off of one article. But I’ll also add that if you find that right topic, and produce a great article, you could blow my $1700 out of the water, and I hope you do! Just remember these things:

- Don’t just start writing, think about your reader first.
- Proofread
- Use an article submission site like http://www.Article-Marketer.com, it will prove invaluable in the time and effort it saves

Happy writing!

Stages during pregnancy

Last Updated: 2011/10/05

During pregnancy a woman’s body suffers many changes. From the conception to birth her body undertakes the processes of fertilization, implantation and growth of the baby or sometimes even babies. The child is growing in her body getting to develop in there for the next nine months after the conception. These 40 weeks of pregnancy may lead to new physical sensations for each woman. It is known that each woman body reacts different to each individual pregnancy whether it is the first, the second, third or more pregnancy.

The first trimester of pregnancy that it is considered to be the first 12 weeks leads to a woman’s body changes. These changes consist of providing a nurturing and protective environment for the baby to grow and develop. Depending on each case these changes can be subtle or can be pretty obvious. Many women do not realize they are pregnant until their menstrual period gets a few weeks overdue. Some of the women just know they are pregnant before missing a period because they feel strange and suspect something is different or in change.

Sometimes the first signs of pregnancy make a woman feel confused. This thing is realized because of the first symptoms in pregnancy that are similar to the pre-menstrual symptoms such as swollen breasts, feeling tired or possible cramping or pelvic discomfort.

There are known cases of women that will not have periods until their baby is partially or fully weaned of the breast, perhaps 6 to 12 months and sometimes even more. Even so it is possible for a woman to be fertile in about 8 weeks after giving birth. So breastfeeding, as a form of contraception tends to be reliable for about 30 % of the women, especially after the child is 3 to 4 months old. A subsequent baby could mean for a mother a very exhausting period and more then that a greater sensitivity for the nipples, especially when the child lathes and suckles at the breasts. These women are also prone to feel nauseated or sick especially in the mornings. Their milk begins to taste more salted then before which may cause a refusal of breastfeeding from the child.

It is a normal fact for women to ask questions about pregnancy. They usually feel unsecure and wonder what is normal during pregnancy. They concern about their health even if they experience the typical pregnancy problems or not. In some cases women do not realize that they are pregnant before a pregnancy test because the changes night not be always so obvious.

Acupuncture and Spinal Cord Injury

Last Updated: 2011/10/05

Spinal cord injuries are extremely serious. Acupuncture for a spinal cord injury can bring relief to chronic pain and improve your quality of life.

Acupuncture and Spinal Cord Injury

Among the most devastating types of traumatic injuries is injury to the spinal cord. The major problem with spinal cord injury is the inability of the nerve cells to regenerate. It is thought that the cells do not regenerate for a couple of reasons. The network of nerve connections between the brain and the body is a complex network. If new cells and branches began to grow after injuries, there would be no telling what would be connected to what anymore. The other reason is there is a limited amount of room in the spinal column and growth of cells would be impossible. Since the cells do not grow, once the spinal cord is damaged or severed, the condition is permanent.

Acupuncture and spinal cord injury are an ideal therapeutic match. It is important to understand that Traditional Chinese Medicine is not a form of magic. The scientific facts about spinal cord regeneration do not change and acupuncture can not do what is impossible. What it can do is to bring improvements in the quality of life to the patient who has suffered a severe spinal cord injury.

Clinical studies on the effect of acupuncture on spinal cord injuries have shown results of increased sensation, reduction of muscle spasms, and improved bowel and bladder function. Other studies have shown that the sooner after the trauma that the treatments are begun, the more dramatic the improvements in the control of spasms and increased function and sensation. The studies have also shown that the best results come from continued treatment over a long period of time. Some of the treatments had a duration of almost five years with treatments given at least twice a week.

There have been some reports of treatments in Europe using laser acupuncture to treat spinal cord injuries. Some of them claim to have restored function where that would have been considered impossible through the use of lasers and acupuncture in a sort of combined alternative medicine approach. A complete evaluation of these reports was reported as not being possible due to the fact that the subjects spoke a foreign language.

This combined treatment approach is mentioned to point out an important fact about acupuncture treatments in general. Acupuncture is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been used successfully in the treatment of the ailments of mankind for centuries. It is not some type of New Age miracle cure. When you see claims that make it appear to be just that, it should send out red flags of warning. Spinal Cord injuries are terrible things, and the most serious ones lead to permanent disability. Acupuncture can be useful in controlling the symptoms and improving the quality of life, but it is not a miracle cure.

Sciatica and Acupuncture

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

Nothing is so painful as a sciatica nerve that is acting up. There is relief for sciatica and acupuncture is one way to get it.

Sciatica and Acupuncture

Sciatica is the name given to a painful condition that is characterized by pain that begins in the lower back and moves down the large sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve runs from the lower back and down the back of the leg. There are several causes for this condition including inflammation of the nerve itself. In some cases, the condition is caused by overexertion, and sometimes it is caused by putting too much pressure on the nerve simply by sitting in a poor position.

The good news is that sciatica usually clears up on its own after a period of time. In a few rare cases, the condition becomes chronic. In most cases, the chronic conditions can be traced to actual traumatic damage to the lower back or spine or to the nerve itself. The treatment is usually centered on relief of the pain. Pain killers are given and rest is suggested.

Sciatica responds very well to acupuncture. Acupuncture has a very good record for the relief of unspecific pain and the reduction of inflammation. In fact, sciatica and acupuncture make such a good condition and treatment match that some people find that they can bring about some pain relief and quicker healing times with the mere application of acupressure to the correct points.

Sciatica is one of those ailments that really does seem to call for the use of alternative medicines. It is often treated by chiropractors as well as physical therapists. What makes acupuncture such a good choice for the treatment is that the diagnosis method of Traditional Chinese Medicine will look well past the pain, which it will see as merely a symptom, to the underlying cause. This will suggest a program of treatment that will include relief of pain and increased healing, but will also address an overall plan of diet, exercise, and herbal supplements designed to prevent its return.

Since most incidents of sciatica are not life threatening nor are they usually of long duration, the taking of chemical pain killers that might have side effects does not seem to be the most logical choice to one who cares about the overall health of his body. Acupuncture for the treatment of sciatica has the advantage of being safe and the virtually lack of adverse side effects seems to point to it as a saner choice.

Surgery or not in gall bladder cases?

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

Having surgery in gall bladder cases is the most common treatment among people that suffer from gall stones. Either they have open surgery or laparoscopic operation, almost ninety percent of all gall bladder patients will choose one or the other.

Furthermore, laparoscopic surgery is the most common of all abdominal operations and it is very safe. So, if you are a gall bladder suffering patient, you will probably have surgery. However, there are some things that have to be taken into consideration before choosing surgery. This type of gall bladder treatment may be thought to be easy and simple, but there are some things at stake as well. Gall bladder surgery can have side- effects or complications.

However easy and common is the gall bladder surgery, risks are involved as well. Side effects and complications can occur after or during gall bladder surgery. Side effects of a gall bladder surgery are mostly mild and of short duration. However, they do exist. The good news is that they can be treated with drugs. The most common side effect of a gall bladder surgery is a general sickness feeling that is mostly caused by the anaesthetic that you have been injected with. There are also some other side- effects of gall bladder surgery, mostly after laparoscopic surgery:
- pain in your right shoulder and possibly in your upper part of the abdomen, due to the use of gas; this gall bladder operation side- effect passes within a day from surgery;
- soreness in your abdomen may also happen if you have had gall bladder surgery, but this too passes in a short period of time;
