Earn Passive Time!

Last Updated: 2011/10/07

If I want to be rich and wealthy, I need to change my mindset to invest in assets that generate passive income. Becoming rich has nothing to do with how much I earn. This is what I have learned from the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. If I had earned a lot and spent on luxury items, I would be simply wasting my opportunity to accumulate wealth. In fact I would loss out to someone who had earned much lesser and invested in assets that generate passive income. In the long run, he would be able to accumulate more wealth than me.

Since it is possible to invest in assets to earn passive income, is it possible to invest in assets that generate passive time?

Before I investigate into details, let us have a common understanding of what is passive time. I define passive time as time gained to accomplish things with little or no human intervention. Just like in the case of passive income, it is earned with little or no human intervention. For example, when I invest in a property to collect rental income, there is little or no work required on my part to earn that rental income.

Based on my definition of passive time, are there assets that generate passive time? To answer this question, let look at the example of a washing machine. As we all know, a washing machine helps to wash clothes. But it helps to generate passive time too!

Firstly, a washing machine will wash the clothes automatically after I have choose the washing option and set it running. This means that I can be doing some other things while the washing machine is washing the clothes. Passive time is earned because the washing machine is washing the clothes automatically. All I need to invest is a little time to choose the washing option and set it running.

Secondly, a washing machine speeds up the washing process. Imagine if I were to manually wash my clothes, I would have to spend much longer time than the washing machine. In this sense, passive time is earned because now I can do the same amount of work in lesser time. All I need to do is to invest some time to choose, buy and install a washing machine.

In other words, an asset such as a washing machine that automates a manual process is considered to be generating passive time. Also, an asset such as a washing machine that improves the efficiency by speeding up the process is considered to generate passive time. Thus, I should be looking for assets with these two features to generate passive time.

Since I already know how to identify an asset that generates passive income, the next step will be on how to select relevant assets to fit into my life so that I can gain passive time. Before that, let me explain what do I mean by relevant asset.

A washing machine is relevant if I use it to wash my clothes. When I use it to wash my clothes, then I am earning passive time. If I do not use the washing machine at all, then it is a liability since it does not earn passive time. Just like if I have a property, I need to rent it out to earn passive income. If I do not rent it out or fail to rent it out, then I do not earn passive income. In this case, the property will be a liability based on my understanding from the book Rich Dad Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki.

To be able to identify relevant assets, the first thing I must do is to identify all the manual processes in my daily life that can be either automated or speed up or both. That is I must keep a time statements just like I need to keep a personal financial statements. A financial statements help to identify how I spend my money. Similarly, a time statements help to identify how I spend my time. In short, a time statement is like a recording of all my daily activities.

I will probably need record all my daily activities for about a few month to identify how I spend my time. Based on the list of activities that I am always doing, I need to filter through the activities and see if I can automate or speed up some of my daily activities by investing in certain assets that generates passive time. In this way, I can identify the relevant assets to invest in.

Why am I focusing so much on learning to invest time? Well, time is one of the two things that are available that I can invest so as to create wealth based on my understanding from the Rich Dad’s Series by Robert Kiyosaki. The other being money. Since I need to have more time to invest so as to create wealth, I need to learn to invest time to gain more passive time!

Alternative Choice!

One of things that I have learned from sales courses is that when I try to make an appointment with a potential client, I always give him at least two options. And most people will limit themselves to those two options. They rarely think beyond those options. If they cannot make it, then I offer the next available options.

For example, if I were to ask someone for an appointment, I would ask him whether he could make it at 3pm Tuesday or 10am Thursday. Even though I may have other available timeslots, I would not offer them the other timeslots. The objective is to make the person to focus and commit to an appointment.

Try observing salesperson around you. When they try to fix an appointment with you, do they resort to this technique?

I always wander why does this technique work most of the time. Finally, I understand that our mind has a tendency to limit ourselves to belief.

When I give a person two choices even though there are more choices, most people will automatically limit them to the belief that there are only two choices. This is more apparent in a scenario where there is only one choice.

For instance, the law says that I need to have a driving license to drive a car. Though I knew how to drive a car but I had failed to renew my license. Normally, I would feel that I have only one choice or rather no choice. That is I could not drive a car. But if I encounter an emergency where I need to run for my life by driving off or need to send someone to hospital by driving, then there seemed to be an alternative choice of driving without a license.

I am not telling you to break any law. What I am trying to highlight is that there are always alternative choice. Whether or not the alternative choice is a good choice, you have to be aware of the consequences and decide for yourself.

This ability to see the alternative choice is very important to get out of mental traps created by our own limiting beliefs. Next time if you feel that you are trapped by a mental situation, always examine carefully. There bound to be an alternative way out.

The idea that I will like to share with you:

If you think hard enough, there is always an alternative choice.

Free GPS Software

Last Updated: 2011/10/07

I took a look at some of the online offers for free GPS software and found, like many “free” offers there were often limits and provisos involved. Often the freeware is a scaled–down version of purchasable products. Sometimes the free product has restricted functionality with features disabled, other products are trial–based and are disabled after a certain time (hours or days or use).

An example of limited free GPS software can be found at GPS Utility. The downloadable freeware is limited 100 waypoints and 500 track points. (There are 65,000 of each in the registered version of their program.) The free program gives you a good opportunity to try before you buy, and this is the benefit of most free programs.

There are online sites that list various free GPS software and describe how to use the programs after you download them. Often individuals who have used the programs themselves develop the sites. These are great because they give you an unbiased interpretation of the benefits and disadvantages of the programs before you use them.

Using free GPS software you can download programs that allow you to retrieve and display aerial photos, topographical maps, USGS landmarks. There are programs available that allow you import scanned images and add latitude and longitude points and other data.

Free GPS software downloads are available for PDA units that are capable of communication with GPS receivers. With these downloads you can have a useful navigation assistant, location database manager, and GPS data converter.

Programs to manage GPS waypoint and route files are available for both PC and Mac users. The waypoints and route files can be saved or converted to various formats used by other mapping programs.

If you need to transfer information to and from your GPS receiver and your home computer or laptop there are several free programs that allow you to do so. There are also programs that allow Garmin GPS receivers to “talk” to one another.

Many of the programs listed here are directed at the hiking/trekker community, but there are also free programs available for auto GPS systems and marine navigational systems. I found a couple of marine navigation programs that allow you to download nautical charts and plotters.

There are free GPS software programs that allow you to download street maps that might not be included in your auto–navigation system. If you intend downloading in–vehicle software, make sure that it has audio capacity, an essential safety factor for motorists. One such program offers data for several countries with voice guidance in twelve languages.

Free GPS software is also available for downloading to your cell phone. This is mostly tracking software and can be phone specific. You might want to check with your carrier before downloading anything to your cell phone to make sure that it does not incur extra charges.

As satellites are constantly moving, it is helpful to know the optimal time for data collection in your area. There is free GPS software that includes an almanac to let you know the availability of satellites at any given time.

Some of the free GPS software is brand specific. Programs designed for a Garmin receiver may not work for a Magellan, so check out the specifications carefully, especially if you intend purchasing a registered version after your trial period. Other software works with most brands.

Anne King is a sports and recreation writer in Boise, Idaho. For a list of free GPS software, visit Maps GPS Info.com which also provides practical information on GPS and maps that everyone can use. The website includes product reviews and a maps/GPS glossary.

Save Mental Energy!

When I was busy, I would never think of anything negative. But when I was not busy, I would start to think of all kinds of things especially those things that caused worry and anxiety. Then I would become worried and depressed.

Does this sound familiar to you?

As usual, I am curious to know why. After some research and meditation, this is what I have found out based on my interpretation.

Like it or not, it is the nature of the mind to be always busy with thoughts. The mind is always thinking of a lot of things every second. The mind never stops to rest. The mind is always running around very fast thinking of this and that.

When I was busy with reading a book, what actually happened is that I kept my mind busy with the thought of reading the book. Thus, my mind is not free to wander around. That is why I did not think of any other things except the task on hand.

When I was free, I did not kept my mind busy with any particular thought. As a result, my mind became free to choose what I like to think about. If my mind thought of something worrying, then I would become worried. If my mind thought of something depressing, then I would become depressed. Because my mind is very fast in nature and free to roam around, I will end up thinking of a lot of things.

This is a waste of mental energy because I have allowed my mind to dwell in negative thoughts. To avoid this trap of wasting mental energy, I should always keep my mind busy with something that is not negative in nature.

For examples, if I am traveling in a bus, I can simply count 1 after each breath. I can count from 1 to 10 and keep on repeating. In this way, I will be too busy counting that I do not think of negative things. If I am waiting for someone, I can simply occupy myself by counting my fingers.

It does not matter that my focus is on something trivial. As long as I can prevent myself from thinking of negative thoughts, it is worth doing it. In this way, I save myself the trouble of becoming mentally disturbed due to negative thoughts.

The idea that I will like to share with you:

Save mental energy by focusing on something that is not negative in nature.

How To Achieve More In Life

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

Are you content with your life? Can you honestly sit back, and say that you have achieved everything that you ever set out to achieve? Can you honestly say that you are likely to achieve your goals and dreams in the future? Many people begin their lives with hope, aspirations, ideas and goals. As life progresses, they slowly come detached from these, and one day, they come to a realization that they probably won’t achieve their goals. So they give up all together, and stop dreaming, hoping, and planning for their desired future.

At that point when you give up on your dreams of achieving more, you give up on life itself. From that point on you are destined to wander through life without a purpose, or a reason for being. Unless, of course, you make some changes in the way that you live your life, and the way that you see yourself as a person.

Why Achieve More?

Ask yourself why you want to achieve more in your hopes, dreams, and aspirations of days gone by. Ask yourself why these were important to you. Could the answer be that they made you happy? They made you feel whole, and that there was more to life than the daily grind that you have become so accustomed to over the years?

We want to achieve more in our lives. For the same reason that we might climb a mountain, or run a marathon, to feel a sense of accomplishment, and achievement, we want to know that we are able to achieve anything if we truly believe that we are capable of doing it.

How To Achieve More?

To start off with, you must know what you are setting out to achieve, and this takes planning. We can achieve anything if we put our minds to it, but we can’t achieve everything. So ask yourself what it is you value the most. What do you really want to achieve in your life right now? Once you know what you are setting out to accomplish, you have given yourself a strong starting point.

Plan your goals, and look for opportunities that will take you to your goals. There are millions of opportunities floating around us every minute of the day, just waiting to be grasped. The trick to success is to use only the opportunities that will lead you to your goals, and help you achieve the things you have set out to accomplish. Anything else is of little value to you, and your achievements.

Visualize your success. See it in every detail in your mind’s eye, and never stop believing that you will achieve your goal. Life wasn’t meant to be easy. If it was, we would never feel the sense of achievement, and accomplishment that we so desperately need in our lives. So see your dreams coming true, and live them out in your mind. This will give you the strength, and the courage to keep on going, even when it would be easier to throw your arms in the air and give up.

Remind yourself all the time about your goals. Write letters to yourself about all the wonderful things you will do or have once you have achieved your set goal. Place posters or words of wisdom around your home to remind you of what you deem as important, and have set out to achieve. Write out your own personal plan to achieve these goals.

Above all, remain true to yourself. Set your value system high. Live by your virtues, compassion, and know that everything that you freely give will be returned to you threefold. Never do anything that is against your belief system or your values in order to achieve more for yourself. Our values are the most important virtue that we have, and nothing is ever worth going against them. To go against your values, and beliefs, will only result in you thinking less of yourself as a person, and tarnish your beliefs that you are the type of person who deserves to achieve more in life.

You deserve to achieve more, so give yourself every opportunity to gain the things that you desire. Truly believe in what you want to achieve, and your capabilities to reach your goals. If you do this, you will achieve more, and still keep your value system intact, making you the person who really does have everything.

Surefire Ways To Stop Procrastinating

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

We’re all guilty of procrastination at some point, when we just can’t get the motivation to start the report, tackle the paper work, clear out the shed, make the phone calls, organise the filing cabinet, repaint the bedroom.

Not only that, ever notice how easy it is to get distracted when there’s a pile of work waiting for our attention: suddenly housework seems incredibly inviting; surfing the net, playing computer games, texting friends and of course eating take on a far greater priority than what really needs to get done.

Then of course there’s the guilt that you haven’t started yet; the task(s) to be done weighs very heavily and is ever present, reminding you just how hopeless you are. Not very nice.

One thing that makes it so hard to begin and so easy to drag your feet is that it’s common to feel overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done. The mountain of paperwork looks too huge to undertake so you put it off, the pile gets higher, you put it off some more…you get the picture. Looking at the whole of it and trying to figure out where to begin can make you feel exhausted, defeated and inadequate.

In January 2007 Boots the Chemist launched a new campaign called Change One Thing to help people keep their New Year’s Resolutions, but also in recognition that when you try to change everything all in one go, you are bound to fail. By changing one small thing there is a greater chance of success.

That’s how to break the grip of procrastination. Do one small thing. Rather than convincing yourself that you don’t have time to tackle the mountain of papers, set aside just a half hour to do one thing. Make one phone call, deal with one piece of paper, file one centimetre from the pile, write one page of the report.

Then stop.

Do something else. Then return and do the next one thing.

We can hear you already, “All well and good, but how do I get the motivation to even do that one small thing?”

There are a few things you can do. The first is to try to set aside your need to get it perfect (another reason it’s easy to procrastinate). Aim for ‘good enough’ at first.

You can set a ‘soft’ deadline (“I’ll give myself till lunchtime to make that phone call.”), give yourself a reward (“I’ll make a nice cup of tea after I clear out two boxes of junk”), tell a friend and ask them to help. Sometimes – even at work – a seemingly impossible task will go much faster if you enlist someone else’s support.

What also seems to work is to talk through your ideas before starting a new task and there are a few reasons for this: first, it helps people clarify their thoughts, second, they don’t feel so alone, third, new ideas will inevitably emerge if more than one brain is focused on the problem at hand.

That’s true whether you’re painting your bedroom, clearing a closet or tackling that mountain of paperwork.

Finally, you can give yourself permission to procrastinate!

We don’t mean ‘forever’, but occasionally, you just might need to say it’s OK to put off till tomorrow what your guilty mind says you should be doing today.

8 Tips To A Stress Free Life

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

Stress is a major problem in the Western world, rapidly becoming an epidemic. Everyone handles stress differently. Some people thrive on it and seem to shake off the negative effects of stress. Other people suffer serious consequences such as headaches, illness, tenseness and more. Over long period of times, stress will cause physical damage to your body.

The following eight top tips will help you to live a more stress free life.

1) Take some exercise. Exercise is a great way to shake off the negative effects of stress, plus when you are fitter, stress has less of a negative effect on you. Even as little as 20 minutes of exercise a day will have a beneficial effect on your stress levels. Whether it is jogging, cycling, swimming, walking or anything else, it will have a positive effect on your life.

2) Takes some YOU time. With careers, lives and family, taking time out for yourself can be very difficult to get. Whether you have a relaxing bath, go for a walk or just sit in a comfy chair with a newspaper, it doesn’t matter. Taking time out for you lets you relax and let go of the stresses in your life and remember the good things about life. If you have kids, get your partner to look after them whilst you relax.

3) Meditate. Meditation is becoming increasingly popular in Western culture as a method of relaxation with chief executive and company owners practising it to reduce their stress and improve their clarity of focus. Just a few minutes every day will help you avoid the negative effects of stress.

4) Recognise when you are stressed. Often you can become short tempered and irritable without realising that you are stressed. When you recognise that you are stressed, then you can deal with it before it becomes a serious problem.

5) Stop worrying about what other people think about you and what you do. People will get extremely stressed if they are worrying about whether other people approve of their actions. Do what you feel is right for you and enjoy it (so long as you don’t hurt anyone else in the process).

6) Treat yourself. You may spend lots of time looking after other people, running around after them but treat yourself too. Get yourself flowers, some nice food or anything that’s a treat because you deserve it too. Not only will you enjoy yourself, but you’ll also get the chance to reduce your stress!

7) Use relaxation music. There are a lot of CD’s, including my own, that are specially designed to help you relax and let go of stress. Whether you prefer a guided relaxation or just music to drift to by yourself, it will help you to relax and feel more calm.

8) Deal with your problems. People get stressed because they have problems piling up. Usually, they take the Ostrich approach and stick their head in the sand and hope the problems go away. Sadly, they don’t usually. By dealing with them, you are removing sources of stress for you.

These eight tips will help you to maintain a more relaxed state of mind and be able to deal with any stress you encounter better. As part of any stress management program, relaxation is a vital key, so take some time out for yourself and relax .. you know you’ll enjoy it!

How To Quickly Attract Wealth To You

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

Many people dream of being wealthy, of having great riches, a big car, a big house and all the money they can possibly use. It’s a human tendancy to want more than they can have, and to really want the things that are just beyond their reach.

Becoming wealthy is mostly a mental exercise. If you have the correct mental program then there is nothing you can do except be wealthy, and this is what the majority of people forget. You need to be able to see yourself as being wealthy and think like a wealthy person and then you will find yourself attracting the wealth you desire. Your abilities are incredible, even if you don’t realise it fully … yet.

The first step in attracting wealth to you is to identify your financial goals. Remember that everyone has a different definition of wealth. Bill Gates defines wealth as billions of dollars, but the homeless guy on the street defines wealth as a ten dollar bill.

Once you know how much money you want then it is time to begin to focus your thoughts. However, in line with the law of attraction, do not focus on your current financial situation, unless it is the one you want. What you focus on, you will get more of it. Your current financial situation is NOT who you are, it’s a product of your previous decisions, which were made by the you in the past.

Focus instead on where you are going to be; on your wealth goal.

If you think like that wealthy person and act like them, then you are much more likely to actually become that wealthy person.

I know, it’s really easy to focus on the things you want now but can’t afford, or the places you want to go, or the many things you feel you cannot do because of a current lack of money. Focusing on this instead of helping you become financially free, imprisons you in a self desctructive jail of poverty.

With your thoughts firmly focused on where you want to be financially, then you will find yourself attracting that wealth to you much quicker that you may have thought. As you are doing this so you can eliminate and remove all the doubts and negative thoughts that shackle you to your current level of wealth.

However, thoughts alone does not make a man rich … the thought is the first step in the process of manifestation.

The second step is taking action. As you are focusing your thoughts you will be inspired into taking action. When you feel this inspiration it is vital you act then and there. Don’t put it off or think about it, follow your intuition as it is guiding you to your wealthy goals. If you ignore these impulses to action then you will find yourself drifting away from your goals because you are sabotaging your own efforts.

If you want to create wealth and abundance into your life then you have to start with the mental processes. You may be surprised to know that you already have all the keys to success inside you; you just have to let them out.

Misconceptions About The Law Of Attraction

Last Updated: 2011/10/06

The law of attraction simply states that events happen because of the energies we give out. This happens regardless if we do it intentionally or not.

If this is so, we must emit only the positive energies so we can attract only the good, right?

Unfortunately, this is the mistake some people make. Just because the law of attraction states that the good that we give out is also reciprocated by another good thing, we have no assurance that everything that will come back to us will be just good.

Why is this so? If we look at the definition of the law of attraction, it talks about the arbitrary nature of things that happen to us. These occur because of the energies that we unintentionally give out.

Consequently, we have no control over situations and events that arrive at our doorsteps. In the same way, we cannot tie a rope around the negative or positive energies that are released.

Because we believe only on the obvious, we raise hell whenever something negative comes, thinking that we have become victims of other people’s negative wishes. A lot of us are quick to point the blame at other people for our fates, not realizing that, if the law of attraction is considered, what happens to us is caused by what we give out.

For instance, we tell somebody that we are going to help him clean out his garage this Sunday. Because we said so, we ultimately expect that that other person will also offer to help clean out our garage the following Sunday. However, we become surprised when this does not happen. We get frustrated and say that there is no truth to the law of attraction. This is our folly. We have unfounded interpretation about the law of attraction.

The problem lies not in the ‘faulty’ definition of the law of attraction but on our faulty interpretation of the entire concept. If we truly want to live good lives, we can stop relying on the law of attraction and just learn to simply live good lives.

Should something negative come, then we should accept this as part of normal living and not a consequence of energies. The mistake that people make in living is in the erroneous concepts we carry. Why don’t we just let go of misinterpreted concepts and just continue living and coping with fate?

We are all huge magnets of various events – good or bad. All the law of attraction can do is to tell us that there exist positive and negative energies. It is by no means a method of preventing ill events from coming into our lives. As the popular song goes, we only get what we give (whether deliberately or unintentionally!).

6 Dangerous Reasons People Do Not Set Goals and Never Succeed

Last Updated: 2011/10/05

Goal setting is the framework for personal achievement. It is the backbone of becoming a person you desire to be. Setting and achieving personal goals will guarantee you success. Most people who do set goals have little to no understanding of goal setting and as a result fail to achieve them and never succeed. You would think that if goal setting was the ultimate skill and secret to success that everyone would develop their own personal goals and learn to achieve them. Unfortunately, the world is not that perfect. There are six dangerous reasons people do not set and achieve their goals which act like a road block to their success.

There are several reasons why people do not set goals similarly to why people do not care about communicating effectively. I know with absolute certainty that everyone will experience a more successful and far enjoyable life if they learned to communicate effectively. Arguably the greatest modern day personal development Coach, Anthony Robbins said, “The way we communicate with others and with ourselves ultimately determines the quality of our lives.” Effective communication determines the quality of your life with others while self development determines the quality of your inner life.

The first reason I believe why people do not set goals is they do not see its importance. Like people who do not develop their communication and other aspects of themselves, they do not see the importance of setting goals. I have met people who are unbelievably resistant to developing their communication. They have actually found it insulting to think they need to improve how they communicate! Every single person on the face of this Earth can always communicate more effectively and have their life improve as a result. Likewise, with goals there are people who do not see the importance of setting personal goals. Goal setting forms the foundations for personal achievement and it is of the utmost importance.

The second reason why people do not set goals is a fear of others caused from criticism. People criticize because they see faults in others or are brainwashed by society and other beliefs into thinking greatness cannot be achieved. They criticize to hold people back from achieving goals. Average people do not want others to go beyond average. A person can fear setting goals because each time they have set goals in the past, others have criticized and shot down their dreams. Others impose their own self-limiting beliefs through criticism instilling fear within the person. Think of receiving criticism as a poisonous needle injected into your body. It slowly controls and destroys what you want. The destructive thought of fear controls the person from achieving anything remarkable. Put bluntly, screw what people think. Screw allowing people to destroy your life with their beliefs. Society is filled with endless garbage to prevent you from achieving your goals. If you want something, go and get it by setting and achieving personal goals.

The third reason why people do not set goals is a fear of failure. They can think success is derived from not failing. The opposite is true. Success comes from failing a lot and failing fast. Famous inventor Thomas Edison said, “I haven’t failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Being an inventor, Thomas understand failure was apart of success. Failure was the nuts and bolts that constructed his success. Understand that failure occurs and it shows you are taking action. Learn from failure and enjoy knowing you are moving towards your goals instead of fearing to set out after them in the first place.

The fourth reason why people do not set goals is a fear success. People who fear success believe it is bad. The fear is common in wealth and wanting an attractive partner because negative results will occur. They believe wealth is evil or a certain type of partner is unfaithful. The fear prevents them achieving what they want by not laying the foundations of their desire with goal setting.

The fifth reason why people do not set goals is they do not know how. This reason relates to fear of failure where the person has set goals in the past, but has not achieved them and becomes discouraged from the failure. These people become disheartened from the failure and think failure is imminent. They do not learn from past mistakes and move towards personal growth. The classic example of this is losing weight as a new year’s resolution. A mere temporary motivation inspires the person who is lucky to lose weight in January but no further progression towards achieving the goal occurs in later months. If you do not set and start working towards a goal now, what makes you think you will be able to achieve it as a new year’s resolution? There are techniques such as SMART goal setting which I have written about but are not covered in this article. Using SMART goals enables you to set and achieve goals then merely wishing a result based on temporary motivation too common around the new years period.

The sixth reason why people do not set goals is they lack the inner desire to want something greater then what they currently have. For them, the ordinary or even sub-ordinary is sufficient. These people do not believe they can reach or deserve success because society has conditioned them into thinking they are ordinary people and therefore must do ordinary things. It can also be caused by failure, criticism, and other reasons as to why people do not set goals.

Effective Communication Skills: How To Build Rapport With Everyone You Meet

Last Updated: 2011/10/05

Effective communication skills are highly valuable. They enrich our personal and social lives. In business it’s a matter of life and death.

This article will show you how to gain almost instant rapport with whoever you meet whether in person or through writing using highly effective communication skills.

In recent years, much has been learned about the way the human brain processes information. The memories we have, the way we perceive experiences, are controlled by our visual, auditory and kinesthetic abilities.

Everything in our minds is there primarily due to what we see, hear and feel. Remember these three modalities, they are VERY important. Again, they are

VISUAL

AUDITORY

KINESTHETIC

These three modes combine in any learning or communication process. We use all of them to a degree.

However, research indicates that with the majority of us, one of those modes is more dominant than others.

Do you like to learn by watching, looking at diagrams or training videos? Probably you are more visually oriented.

Do you prefer to be told through the spoken word? Or are you the kind that likes to get his hands on the subject and starting doing, learning through a process of experimentation? Then you are probably more of an auditory or kinesthetic.

If this is true of us, it is true of the other person. What if you knew which kind of mode is dominant in the person you are talking or writing to? Could that help build rapport or in some way make your communication skills more effective? ABSOLUTELY!

Companies have spent thousands of dollars educating their salesmen to utilize this knowledge. The results? Dramatic!

How can you apply this very valuable insight? By taking special note of the words and phrases your prospect uses.

People often use expressions that indicate which modality they are thinking in at that moment. For example, “I see what you mean”, “I hear you”, “I’ve got a feeling about this”. When you hear these expressions, sit up, take note. They are sign posts pointing to that person’s modality.

So you have the sign posts, what do you do now? You respond in the same manner. Start using expressions in that person’s dominant modality. Why should this work?

Because words convey ideas to the other person’s mind. You start communicating on the other person’s wavelength. Just like two modems making an internet connection, your two brains start ‘hand shaking’. The effect is amazing.

Skeptical? That’s understandable. Just start, try it and you won’t be any longer. Here is a true life experience.

A successful financial advisor read up on this subject and started employing the methods.

One day he walked into the office of a manager interested in a savings plan. The financial advisor noticed many artistic pictures on the manager’s office walls. He commented on them and gave an honest compliment.

The manager used expressions like “let me show you”, “you must see this”. The financial advisor immediately picked up on this and realized the manager was a visual.

When the time came for him to make his presentation, he started off by saying, “Let me first give you the big picture” and with that he pulled out a diagram. The manager immediately leaned over and started closely scrutinizing the savings plan. From there on it went like a dream.

The rapport was established early on. The manager began to think “I like this man, I can do business with him.” A very good plan was devised which suited the manager’s needs well and both parties were happy – the manager with his plan, the financial advisor with his commission. A win win ending.

Don’t underestimate the power of communicating in the other person’s preferred mode.

Now, how can you apply this in your business? Do you write ad copy or sales letters? Do you do face to face selling or telephone selling?

Sprinkle your words with phrases from each mode and see how the prospect responds. If they respond with similar expressions, you have identified their mode.

Here is a list of words and phrases to help you identify a dominant modality:

VISUAL

crystal clear / focused / flash / hazy / sight for sore eyes / up front / it appears to me / get a bird’s eye view / it looks like / in the mind’s eye / you get the picture / it’s clear cut / take a dim view / tunnel vision / the naked eye

AUDITORY

rings a bell / all ears / certain overtones / harmonize / make myself heard / tuned in / that’s unheard of / to tell the truth / in a manner of speaking / gave him an earful / listen up / tongue-tied / described in detail / sounds like / just say it

KINESTHETIC

I’m conscious of / you can sense / she perceived / lay your cards on the table / come to grips with it / that’s a pain in the neck / pull some strings / hang in there / touch base with / it boils down to / start from scratch / that was under handed / hold on / you need to experience it / in a moment of panic

These lists are just to get you started. There are an abundance of signals out there in the way people express themselves.

You just need to “read the signs”, “hear the bell ring” and “grasp the meaning” behind the words your prospect is using, either in written or spoken form.

Rapport is almost priceless. Agreements, contracts, big business deals are often concluded between people because they sense a bonding between them.

Develop and practice these essential communication skills and your life and business will take on new vitality!

Be the Kind Of Friend Everyone Loves To Have

Last Updated: 2011/10/05

You can’t please everybody; there will always be someone you know who isn’t very pleased with you. In fact some may even hate you. Even within the circle of your friends, you cannot be assured that all of them like being around you. Have you ever thought of the reasons why? But whatever the reasons are, here are some tips that will surely help you be that type of friend everyone wishes to have.

- Be Your Friend’s Number One Cheerleader. Bring out the best from your friend. For example, if your friend is joining a play in school, be one of the early birds and sit on the front row to take a closer view and applaud for him/her. If he or she is down in the dumps, be the first one to come rushing to your friend for a quick “pick me up on a bad day”. Chances are, they’ll appreciate it.

- Learn the Art of Sharing Secrets. When your friend tells you something that is supposed to be a secret, it should remain as is. That’s why it’s called the art of sharing secrets. You share secrets and by the term itself, it shouldn’t be spilled to anyone. Standing by your words to keep your buddy’s hush-hush would earn you his/her trust.

- Be Sensitive Enough. If your friend needs time to be alone and think, let him/her be. Sure, you are concerned but when they say they want some time alone, give it to them. Don’t force them to go out and join you in the latest outing if they don’t want to. There is always a time for everything. There’s a time to play pranks and jokes and there’s also a time for being serious. If you are really a good friend, you’ll stick with your pal regardless of the weather. Know when to keep quiet and listen if needed. Give them enough space to think about their life.

- Mark that Calendar. Nothing warms the heart of anyone than the thought of knowing that someone actually remembers their birthdays, or any special dates for them in the calendar. A gift is not a prerequisite. Trite as it may sound, the thought that you remember them is already enough. On the other hand, if you are someone who is not very good on remembering dates, get your calendar, organizer or even cell phone and let them do the task of reminding you of the dates you should keep in mind.

- Don’t Be a Spoiler. Loosen up and let your hair down. You wouldn’t want to be branded as spoilsport or the killjoy of the group would you? Take risks and do something you haven’t done before. If your friends want to try out bungee jumping, go with them even though you are afraid of heights. It’s a perfectly safe activity. Conquer your fear. Are you the one in the group who usually heads home first when in a party? Come on, staying out late at night or partying once in a while doesn’t kill you, as long as you act responsibly.

- Be Flexible. This means be flexible in your views and when discussing other topics and subjects. Life is never a bore when you are having a good conversation with someone. Being with someone who can talk about anything under the sun is fascinating. From being a nasty joker down to being an existentialist, this kind of friend is really a must have.

Be the kind of friend everybody wants to have and you’re likely to have the kind of friend you always wanted to have. Your actions can influence the people around you to be just like you – a friend for keeps.

I Don’t Like Your Attitude

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

People always fluctuate in their behavior from day to day and we all have had our times in which we acted rude to people, and had the pleasure of having the reverse happen as well. Kay Redfield Jamison an international guru of about mood disorders has had her share of mood swings during her times. For years she kept this extreme psychological disorder a secret in which she had moods that switched from being super excited known as mania, to times that she was lethargic and depressed. She actually wrote a book about these events and tells about it in more detail.

By the way, the disorder was known as bipolar disorder and effects many people around the world. With determination, a strong will, and support from her family and friends she overcame her struggles and continue to teach about psychological disorders to this day. I know that you’re probably wondering what are the types of characteristics of deviant or abnormal behavior? Well, one way abnormal behavior can be diagnosed is with some common symptoms. It may surprise you that there are about 40 million Americans that are affected by some type of psychological disorder. You may think of a psychological disorder as what the main character had in the movie “A beautiful Mind.” In essence you are right but there are a lot more other characteristics involved and a sychological disorder can also be defined by having an addiction to a substance like alcohol or drugs. To fully nderstand psychological disorders an individual must analyze abnormal behavior. Let’s take a look at three different case studies.

1) A twenty six year old woman named Helena has a need to walk in a specific way. When she is walking on the street in the public she believes that if she steps on certain cracks she will have bad luck, but in order to reverse that bad luck she has to turn around and walk back a block. She doesn’t like to do this much so she often stay home and pay people to go and pick up her groceries and other needed items.

2) A thirty five year old woman has recently got a divorce from her husband who she has been previously married to for eleven years and has two children with. Her husband have left her for her best friend and she is going back to college to continue her education so she can earn some more money to better support her children. She has a hard time struggling with school work and has grown separate from her friends and colleagues. A lot of the time she doesn’t feel like doing much and tends to cry a lot at nigh time. She also has a more pessimistic view in life and doesn’t believe in true love anymore.

3) A thirty year old man named Don has to have things arrange in his house a certain way. Even though he is wealthy enough to afford a maid he constantly has to rearrange things in his house after she leaves. He sweeps the floor and wipes off tables even though she has done that before.

Most people would say that the behavior of all of these individuals are abnormal, but are all of them bizarre? That’s a common myth about behavior, because people will automatically assume that abnormal behavior is bizarre and it’s not necessary true.

Take the women in the second case study described even though her behavior is abnormal it is not necessary bizarre. A lot of times people with abnormal behavior cannot easily be distinguished from people with normal behavior. Also, just because a person currently has a mental disorder doesn’t mean that they will always have it. The term abnormal behavior varies from different academic mediums. However, the federal courts define insanity which is more of a legal term rather than a psychological on as the inability to differentiae right from wrong. This is a very common term that comes up in terms.

One infamous example is in 1996 when multimillionaire John Dupont shot and killed Olympic Gold medalist wrestler David Schultz. He also has been charged with a couple of assaults earlier. Dupont lawyers used the “insanity” definition as a lame excuse to get him off the hook and it worked because in the end because the jury declared that he had a psychological disorder and he was found guilty of third degree murder. There are three criteria’s for crossing the line between abnormal behavior and normal behavior. Abnormal behavior is usually deviant which means it abstracts from the norms of society. However, remarkable people like Martin Luther King and Bill Gates are not the average person but they are far from being abnormal. When a behavior deviate from what is expected by society than it could be called abnormal.

The second criteria are that it is usually maladaptive which means that it interferes with a person’s ability to function properly in the real world. Last, abnormal behavior includes personal distress. This means that the person is deeply bothered by this and it causes them unnecessary pain and suffering. The causes for abnormal behavior can vary tremendously. We can look at several factors such as biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors to help determine this. Psychologists who favor the biological approach tend to emphasize the brain and genetic traits as the primarily cause of abnormal behavior. When using this approach the primarily form of treatment is drugs or drug therapy. The biological approach is used often in the medical model, which describes psychological disorders as diseases related to biological origins. From the medical view abnormalities are seen a mental illness. The people that are infected with the mental illness are known as patients and they have to be treated by doctors.

The biological view can also be broken done into three more categories. These are known as structural views, biochemical views and genetic views. The structural view thinks that abnormalities in the brain structure are the main lead to mental disorders. The biochemical view looks at the imbalances in the brain’s chemical structure such as neurotransmitters and hormones as the cause to mental disorders. In the genetic view they look at distorted genes as the main contributor to mental disorders.

While the biological approach focuses on inherited traits to be the main contributor to mental disorders, the psychological approach looks at the environment and the unconscious mind as the main contributor to abnormalities. This has three parts to it which includes the psychodynamic perspective, behavioral and social cognitive prospective, and the humanistic perspective. The psychodynamic perspective thinks that psychological disorders come from unconscious conflicts that can cause anxiety and a maladaptive behavior. The main contributor to deviant behavior in this approach is from early bad relationships. If an individual develops bad relationships with either offspring early on in their life than the individual will develop abnormalities. Sigmund Freud was the developer of the psychoanalytic approach in which it places more emphasis on what you can’t physically see. In the behavioral and social cognitive prospective they place an emphasis on the environment in shaping abnormal behavior. They believe that people learn behavior by observing those around them, through self control, through their beliefs in themselves, and through a variety of other cognitive factors which are the key to psychological disorders in this approach. In the humanistic perspective they place an emphasis on an individual’s freedom to do what they want and chose their own destiny and personal characteristics. They believe that psychological disorders come up when an individual fails to meet their own potential.

All of the psychological perspective focuses on the individual. The next approach is the sociocultural approach. This concept places a larger emphasis on the area in which an individual lives such as their family, neighborhood, economic status, and culture. For one example, they believe that a conflict between one’s cultures will be a contributor to a mental disorder in an individual. It’s not necessary the individual that has a mental disorder but rather to an unbalanced social life. There are also some gender effects in determining mental disorders. Women are more likely to have internal mental disorders, which are disorders that affect them inside. They are more likely to be effected with anxiety attacks, and moods of depression.

On the other hand, men are more likely to be effected with external disorders or disorders that are seen outward. Some examples of these disorders are substance abuse and moods of aggression. Many psychologists now believe that psychological disorders are universal which means that they are the same for people everywhere around the world regardless of geographic location or their social status. However, depending on the factors I just mentioned they do vary. There are also some disorders that strictly effect people of one culture, and here are three big ones that I’m currently aware of: Amok, Windigo, and Anorexia Nervosa. The Amok effect people of Malaysia and the Philippines and in this disorder and individual suddenly has a fierce burst of rage and anger and kill and injure as many people as possible before they are killed. This disorder is commonly found in males and the cause of this can be numerous of factors such as jealously, or losing a lot of money through gambling. Windigo is a disorder commonly found in Algonquin Indian hunters and is very similar to a horror story in which an individual is hunted and chased by a fictionist character and become bewitched such as by a bit of a vampire or werewolf. The hunter becomes worried that they will turn into a flesh eating cannibal and harm other around them.

The last disorder, I think that many Americans is aware of the last disorder and that is called anorexia nervosa and effects people of mainly Western cultures with a special emphasis on the people in the United States. This is an eating disorder in which an individual tries to maintain an unhealthy low weight through starvation which can ultimately lead to death.

I Lost Track Of Time-AGAIN

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

Everyone has said this more than once in their lives! It could be that we become so engrossed in what we are doing that we loose track of time. We get so far behind that we never seem to catch up or that we actually enjoy what we are doing that time goes by so quickly.

Did you ever wonder where all of the time went? We have heard the saying ‘Time Flys’ and it always seems to at the least opportune times of our lives.

There are so many articles on time management, giving us ways to correct it, ways to save it, ways to manage it and even ways to use it wisely. It is not so hard to understand how we run into this problem. There is work, household chores, the kids to raise, the yard work, bowling, going to kids practices and doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and many more things that we have to schedule for. It is no wonder that we loose track of time, there just doesn’t seem to be enough to go around.

Through the years of raising kids, owning a business or two and joining the P.T.A.. among umpteen other organizations, I have managed to come up with my own system that works for me. It is hard to follow someone else’s system when they don’t live the same type of life that you do, but maybe some of the things that work for me may help you out too.

Write a 30 day calendar of menu’s. No, its not as hard as you may think! You will have left overs in between to use on those nights when you have meetings or places to go to that will help cut down on expensive eating out and cooking. Then follow this closely and you can make your shopping list from this.

I try to cook most of my meals on my day off. It doesn’t take much to throw a Beef Roast in the oven and maybe a Chicken or Barbecued Ribs too, make a skillet full of Sloppy Joe and put together a Tuna and Noodle Casserole that you can throw in the Microwave anytime. That should take care of a weeks worth of cooking. Monday-Roast, Tuesday -Sloppy Joe, Wednesday-Barbecued Ribs and Baked potatoes, Thursday- left over roast, Hot Beef sandwiches, Friday-Tuna and Noodle Casserole, Saturday-left overs clean out the fridge day or Pizza and Sunday-eat out.

I throw a load of wash in as soon as I get up, that way by the time the kids are dressed and eating breakfast, I can throw it in the dryer. Presto, one load of clothes done.

Keep a box of Glass Wipes in the bathroom closet. When I am finished combing my hair (after everyone else is gone) I use a wipe to wipe the counter, faucet, mirror, sink, back of the toilet, under the toilet seat and flush. Nice and clean and it took 5 minutes. I use this method in the kitchen on the cupboards, stove, refrigerator and sink too!

When you go to pick up the kids from school, wait for them after practice, before you get in your car after work or as soon as you pull into the garage at home; throw all of the trash in the car into a plastic bag, use a tissue from a leather cleaner to wipe off the dash and the seats and shake out the floor mats. It smells and looks great and took 5 minutes.

I always keep a calendar in my purse and one in the kitchen that has all of our appointments, meetings and practices on it. This way I never forget, always have a reference no matter where I am and know when I have free time.

There are more hours in a day than you might think if you just work Smarter-Not Harder.

The old saying is still true, Time Stops For No Man (or Woman); but with a little help we can slow it down a little and give ourselves the chance to enjoy life.

Learning and Growth or Fear of Failure

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

Little children have no fears and explore the world with wild abandon. As they mature they are taught and learn to respect and even fear experiencing some life situations and activities. Often they develop the thought that to try something new and failing is embarrassing and uncomfortable and should not be attempted. That learned fear of failure then prevents them from exploring new parts of their world and learning new things.

Unfortunately, young adults carry that learned fear of failure with them as they journey into the world of work and life. In fact, the fear of failure increases as they settle into their job and take on new responsibilities in both work and life.

Progressing in their careers, they find that their security could be at risk if they rock the boat and so they set strict boundaries of behavior and interactions with other people. Those boundaries protect them from the almost certain negative consequences of perceived risky initiatives. However, the perceived risk and associated negative consequences are magnified by their fear and prevent new initiatives and thus personal learning and growth.

Fear of failure then becomes a major limiting attitude to personal growth. It stunts the development of the person’s potential and greatness! It debilitates the person and leads to reduced effectiveness, productivity, and performance.

I would like to propose that there are only opportunities to gloriously experience life and learn. A person can embrace and engage in those opportunities with anticipation and joy or they can shrink from them clinging to fears of failure.

Is it your mission, purpose, and destiny to remain as you are today? Or is it your mission, purpose, and destiny to fully experience your world, learn, and grow as a human being?

Cast off every fear of failure that you hold. Become like a child again. Risk trying to build new competencies, learn new things, engage in new behaviors, and experience the world you have not experienced yet.

Take every opportunity that comes your way, embrace it, and engage in the life experience with anticipation and the joy of learning. Give thanks and gratitude for your experiences no matter what the perceived outcome.

Realize that your perceived outcome is a choice. That choice can be uncomfortable and negative or positive and growth oriented. Look forward to everything that life brings to you with joyful anticipation.

The fear of failure can be unlearned and replaced with a new attitude of positive expectancy for learning, growth, and developing more of your potential and greatness.

What would be the result for you if you embraced every new opportunity for learning and growth with positive expectancy? Why, you would feel alive, energized, enthusiastic, joyful, and filled with a great measure of positive expectation. You would find the silver lining in everything that you attempted. Life would be incredible!

Take time to reflect on your life and to identify and list the fears you have learned. Realize that learning and adopting those fears may have been necessary to creating the success you enjoy today. Be willing to part with them to create a better future.

Thank your fears and say goodbye to them for their past service. Then step out into the new world of opportunity you see and experience more of the joyful existence you were meant to live. Embrace work and life as a glorious experience with gratitude.

Blessings to you!

Is Your University Degree A Fake

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

Straits Times journalist from Singapore, Lim Yee Hung reported in a newspaper article that he received two university degrees last week. One is an associate degree in Criminal Justice and the other is a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. It took him just one week to get both degrees. If university degrees are that easy to get, they are probably fake degrees.

He went on to say in the report that he got the associate criminal justice degree from Belford University and the journalism degree from True Diplomas paying a total of US$349 for the degrees excluding freight charges without any studying on his part or examinations to take.

He called Belford University’s hotline before buying the degrees and was assured that Belford University degrees are perfectly legal, properly accredited and accepted all over the world. In order for an applicant to qualify for a Belford online degree, the candidate must have sufficient ‘life experience’ or an ‘online equivalency test’ which can be done under one hour.

True Diploma have no degrees of their own to offer for they sell replica and imitation degrees from about 115 genuine universities including Ivy League universities such as Brown University and Cornell University. The degrees offered by True Diploma are certainly fakes and they tell you upfront about it.

When Lim received The Belford University degree, he found that it was very impressive. Along with the degree package were also educational transcripts with grades for each module. The university seal is embossed on the degree and looks authentic. How could there be grades and transcripts if tests and examinations are not taken?

The journalism degree though can be easily spotted as a fake. There are glaring misspelling and grammatical errors. For example, in his degree, December was spelt as Decemberf.

He reported that in the United States, fake degree scams are so rampant that the problem is seen as a national security threat. An audit in May 2004 showed that a total of 463 employees in the federal government had fake academic degrees. Some were even high ranking officials in sensitive positions with top level security clearance to boot.

According to fake degree mill expert John Bear, co-author of Degree Mills, fake degree mills are a billion dollar industry having sold thousands of fake online degrees and diplomas every week internationally.

Although some employers may check the qualifications of a prospective employees directly by calling up the university which awarded the degrees, this screening may not be effective against some degree mills as some of these degree mills provide verification services. Employers who called are told that the job applicant is indeed a graduate from that particular university.

However, not all college and university online degree programs are frauds. There are some great universities such as Harvard University offer online degrees.

So if you want to get an online degree, then it is prudent for you to do a thorough due diligence and check with your local educational authorities for the online university’s authenticity so that you will not end up with a fake degree by a costly mistake.

Mind Techniques – The Way To Achieve Your Dreams

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

Did you know that there are mind techniques that you can use to better your life? After all, you spend time at work, watching television, reading the papers, going out to have a fun time. Would it not be worthwhile to enhance your mind power to achieve greater heights?

If you really think about it, anything thought in the mind is more powerful than what exists in the real world as we see it. Any new invention is first a thought in someone’s mind. Only after that is it done for all to see and use. Mind power is something that can be harnessed by doing mind exercises or using mind techniques.

If what happens outside is a result of what you feed to your mind, does it not then mean that harnessing of the mind power will tremendously improve your success skills.

Of course, you may question whether you can really get help through your thoughts. After all, you start of doing a business paper and suddenly pictures of where you are going to vacation next keep drifting in front of you. Or you want to practice your mind techniques and are focusing on a positive picture when the negatives keep popping up.

The worst thing to do under these circumstances is to get upset about the disturbance. This gives power to the disturbance. Just ignore it! Continue with your positive focus. Yes, it will keep flitting past your mind. Just ignore it. Have you had anyone irritating you? As long as you got angry and reacted to the irritation, you were actually encouraging the other person to carry on because he got the desired effect. But, if you just ignored him, he will get tired and bored and go on with whatever else he is doing.

When you are up in the morning, visualize a successful day and imagine how some of your goals have been achieved beyond your wildest dreams. See how happy you are, how happy everyone else is. This positive feeding of the mind will get you started off on a positive note.

Do this again in the middle of the day and at the end of the day. Nobody needs to know what you are up to because you can just spent ten to fifteen minutes for a quick relaxation. This is very much accepted, so you will not look like a weirdo.

If you think this will be difficult, think of the times that you have been day dreaming. Have you imagined being promoted, going on a holiday, getting that car you wanted, owning a beautiful home or being happy and feeling just great? Instead of doing idle day dreaming, change it to focused visualization. Plan what it is you want to visualize and enjoy the experience.

Think of the end result! How happy you are when you achieved your goal. See yourself treating your friends to holidays or a great meal. Make the pictures outrageous and colorful to get it well entrenched in your mind.

Do not worry that this is unbelievable and people will laugh at you. Remember it is all in your mind. Nobody needs to know. In your mind you have all the money in the world, you know all the experts in the world and you can get anyone to do anything for you.

Mind techniques can be used to improve your success skills. You can do it wherever you are. It is free! So, is there any reason not to take advantage of it?

The Power Of Persistence

Last Updated: 2011/10/04

I went recently to see the movie ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’; if you haven’t seen it, please go, it is great. It could be the story of so many of us and it is about some of the most important qualities we need in order to succeed and be happy.

It begins with a dream…well it is a dream we all have…to be happy…a good life…but for some people, maybe someone you know, maybe you, it seems that things do not really work out, and difficulties keep coming up.

Maybe you have experienced a difficult beginning in life, and you feel this is still preventing you from being the best you can be, and you feel disadvantaged, scarred. Or maybe you have experienced in the course of your life pain, redundancy, loss, separation, or else, and you feel that your energy is depleted.

And what happens to many of us after a while that we keep ‘struggling’, the mind might begin to become negative and there might be the temptation to give in to difficulties. And maybe we start looking at other people, at people who are happier or more successful than us and we feel envious, but this does not help.

What helps instead is looking for successful people who have beaten the odds, who have overcome maybe the same past, maybe the same problems, and achieved what you want to achieve, and learn from them, because if you apply to your life, remaining true to yourself, what they have done, you will get where they are and have what they have, happiness and success. It is simply a question of learning their strategies.

And one of the qualities you will see in all of these people, and you will see also in the movie, is the tenacity, the determination, the persistence to never ever give up, no matter what, and to keep following your dreams.

So, once you know your dreams, once you know what you really want, just go for it, and never ever give it up. Be prepared to put in a lot of effort, because that is the price you need to pay at the beginning for having it all. And once you have made a start everything will become much easier.

Another very important thing you need to do is have faith.

There is such an extraordinary power within you that wants the very best for you; that wants you to be well and be happy; that wants you to have in your life all the love you desire and deserve; that wants you to be successful; that wants you to create and live the life of your dreams.

And once you know what this power is, you will be able to heal yourself, to create, attract and manifest in your life anything that you truly want. But you need to know how to use it properly, because otherwise it simply creates what you do not want.

And then you will see that actually what you thought of as disadvantages, the difficulties in your life, have become your advantage, because they have enabled you to be the best you can be; they have enabled you to achieve what some people only dream of.

But in order to get there, you need never ever to give up. You need to keep going even when the going gets tough, because you are made of strong stuff.

I know you are certainly not a quitter, you are a winner, and I have the certainty you will be able to create and achieve whatever it is that you truly want. It is just a question of learning how the Laws of the Universe really work and you are already there.

And you are going to make of your life a true masterpiece that reflects who you really are.

Specify your full name and include the post-code, to make sure that any mail they may send, reaches you promptly.

You can place your name at the left hand corner like above or – On the right hand corner as such or – In the middle on the top of the first page’

However, starting from the right or in the middle is the most preferred option today. It’s at your discretion how do you want it to look, as long as it is displayed before anything else.

You can make your name stand out by making the font larger and bold and then have your address and the rest of the information in smaller writing than the rest of your CV.
